Akers Avis Groruddalen er lokalavisen for Groruddalen nord-øst i Oslo. De fire bydelene Grorud, Bjerke, Alna og Stovner utgjør Groruddalen. Avisen er uavhengig og lokalt eiet, og redaksjonen har fra 1988 holdt til i [[Villa Glitre]], den gamle doktorboligen ved siden av [[Grorud skole]]. <br />

Avisa starta som velavis i 1928, som fellesorgan for velforeningene i området. De første årene gikk den under navnet ''Østre Aker Vel''. Da nye eiere kom inn i 1958 ble navnet endret til ''Akers Avis'', de fikk kontorer i nybygde [[Veitvet senter]], og fra 1960 føyde avisa til det nyoppfunne stedsnavnet Groruddalen i tittelen. Avisa lå i forkant av befolkningseksplosjonen i Groruddalen, og ble lokalavis for de titusener av nye innflyttere til de nye drabantbyene. <br />

Fra 1995 har avisa hatt egen nettavis. <br />

Mangeårig redaktør - helt siden 1958! - [[Hjalmar Kielland]] mottok sammen med kona Margit i 2007 [[Landslaget for Lokalaviser]]s hederspris for sitt virke.<br />
