Frå hausten 1959 vart bokbåten eit tilbod til folk i [[Hordaland]]. Dei første åra var det ei skute med namnet «Abdulla» som sørga for bøker og kultur. I 1963 tok bokbåten Epos over. Tenesta er eit samarbeid mellom fylkeskommunane i Hordaland og [[Møre og Romsdal fylke|Møre og Romsdal]]. Frå hausten 1959 vart bokbåten eit tilbod til folk i [[Hordaland]]. Dei første åra var det ei skute med namnet «Abdulla» som sørga for bøker og kultur. I 1963 tok bokbåten Epos over. Tenesta er eit samarbeid mellom fylkeskommunane i Hordaland og [[Møre og Romsdal fylke|Møre og Romsdal]].
