I guess it just goes to show it's a small world; the odds that two persons of Norwegian descent are related are ~~faily~~ good if you go back to the 1600's, but the odds that two people who share ancestors and know their names that far back coming across each other outside of a genealogy forum, that's something that doesn't happen very often. 			:::::::You're certainly right. Finding at 8th cousin once removed only happens among folks interested in genealogy. I once worked with a women for 2 years before discovering she was a 3rd cousin. And after 8 generations we share less than 0.0008% of the same genes - perhaps significantly less if wives haven't been consistently faithful. But it still is a pleasure to find a remote relative.

	While editing the article [[Anders Nielsen Wiborg]] I suddenly recognized some names. I checked my family tree, and it turns out that his second wife, Marthe Johansdotter Madfeldt, was a half sister (same mother, different father) of my 8*great grandmother Johannes Isaksdotter Cold. Johannes was a daughter of the Reverend Isak Andersson Cold. I actually had Anders Nielsen Wiborg himself in my familiy tree, but I haven't gone any further with that family since his wife was a half sister. You can find Johanne in my list of ancestors at my [[Bruker:Cnyborg\|user page]], she's no. 1563. and her mother Mette Nielsdotter Hofer is no. 3159 (I also have a couple of generations before that). We don't want to lose your valuable contribution, but at the same time, those of us who work here don't have the time to translate the articles.
