Hauge var første skolebibliotekar på [[Rosenvilde videregående skole]] i [[Bærum]]. Rosenvilde ble en videregående skole i 1978, samme år som skolen fikk nye lokaler på [[Hauger (Bærum)|Hauger]]. Hun bestyrte også [[Lommedalen avdeling av Bærum bibliotek]], men den ble snart nedlagt. Før 1978 hadde Hauge vært katalogsjef på [[Bærum bibliotek]]. Hauge var også faglig engasjert i [[Bibliotekarforbundet]] og [[Kommunalansattes Fellesorganisasjon]].<br />

Noe av det siste hun gjorde på Rosenvilde var å planlegge biblioteket i nybygget som skulle komme. Biblioteket skulle være en del av myldrearealer i midten av skolen, eller "skolens hjerte", som også innbefatter kantine, en scene og sitteområder (nybygget sto klart i 2002). Hun holdt også på med etterutdanning i historie.<br />
<br />
Hauge bodde på [[Rykkinn]], var gift og hadde barn. Hun døde etter en sykkelulykke på vei til jobb i april 1999, og er begravet på [[Bryn kirkegård]].<br />
