Plassen lå på platået mot nord. De som bodde her, var ikke husmenn slik man forbinder med den tittelen, men hadde andre yrker og leveveier ved siden av. <br /> <br /> I. Seminarlærer Ove Carlsen Bugge født i 1822 i Fosnes (Jøa i nord Trøndelag), død i 1904. Han bodde på Halsetbakken som pensjonist. Ove ble ansatt som lærer ved Klæbu Seminar i 1842, og gikk av i 1875 etter 33 års arbeid. Som andre lærere ved seminaret kjøpte Ove Bugge gårder i bygda. Han hadde Svån under Fjærem i 1852, og solgte den i 1869. Gift med Ane Arntsdtr. (1811-1878). Klæbus første poståpneri ble flyttet hit fra Halsetmoen (gnr. 22, bnr. 4).
