<p>Botgenerert artikkel fra fotoregisteret</p> <p><b>Ny side</b></p><div>&#039;&#039;&#039;Herbjørn Gausta&#039;&#039;&#039; (1854-1924)<br /> Født i Tinn, d. i Minnesota, USA. Utvandret 13 år gammel. Er regnet for den fremste kunstneren innen det norske utvandrermiljøet i Amerika. Ble etterhvert en svært anerkjent kunstmaler. Det var mindre kjent at han også var en habil fotograf. Hans fotografier finnes i det norsk-amerikanske museet i Iowa. Fotografiene fra Norge er tatt i Rauland og Tinn på en reise han gjorde - antakelig i 1899. I anledning av 150 års jubileet for den første utvandringen til Amerika, ble de vist på en utstilling i Rjukan bibliotek i 1987. Herbjørn Gausta brukte flere av fotografiene sine som grunnlag for malerier.
