<p>Botgenerert artikkel fra fotoregisteret</p> <p><b>Ny side</b></p><div>&#039;&#039;&#039;John Myren&#039;&#039;&#039; (1888-1977)<br /> Født på Strømsnes v. Kristiansund 08.03.1888. Gift med Marit Heggseth, 1 sønn, 1 datter. Revisor i Kristiansund Sparebank. Amatørfotograf, begynte å fotografere ca. 1920. Deltok i en mengde landskonkurranser og hadde mange diplomer og medaljer i inn- og utland. Bildene hans var i sin tid kjent over hele verden, og hans teknikk var nesten som en skole for hvordan god fotokunst skulle være. Etter hans død blir hans store plate- og billedarkiv tatt vare på av datteren Merete og sønnen Ola M. Fotolitteraturen er overlatt biblioteket i Kristiansund. Han var en av stifterne av Kristiansund Kameraklubb i 1928, formann i 22 år og æresmedlem. Styremedlem i Norsk Selskap for Fotografi og Smalfilm, hadde forbundets ærestegn. Nordmøre museum overtok i 1998 hans glassplatearkiv.
