Sønn av Nils Olavson T. (1861-1925) og Gurid Knutsdatter N. Aksnes (1861-1945). Lærte fotografering av Charlotte v. d. Fehr og kjøpte endel av hennes utstyr. Fotograferte ikke så mange år, døde ung av tuberkulose . Aslaug Pedersen (f. Linga) i Bergen fikk glassplatene etter Tolo (Tholo) som del av arv. Hun har gitt dem videre til Kvam kommune.
