(1893-)<br /> Født på plassen Romsdalen i Grorud i øvre Siljan, Telemark, 23.02.1893. Sønn av husmann Isak R. Kjøpte i 1913 det første fotoapparatet som hadde vært sett i bygda. I årene fra 1913 til han giftet seg i 1920-årene var Ole Romsdalen en meget aktiv fotograf. Familien ble boende på Grorud, og under en innsamling og registrering av gamle bilder i 1986, dukket det opp noen fotografiske glassplater hos enken etter Ole, Aasta Romsdalen. Det viste seg at det i huset fantes ganske mange glassplater. I dag er platene kopiert og tatt vare på i fylkesmuseet.
