My background is mostly in biology and geology, and I have tinkered with hardware and software for many years. I have a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Geology-Biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. In the 1990s, I worked with programming on climate modeling research projects at Brown University and at Australian National University in Canberra. More recently, I have worked as a biology instructor at three community colleges in the USA.

My work on lokalhistoriewiki.no primarily involves wiki coding, including work on templates. I am currently working on re-designing the navigation templates for the forsider.
